After seven and half years, I was let go from my job today. What really sucks is that I don’t think I’ll be the only one from my department AND my boss wasn’t even told ahead of time.
Cest la vie…

I sure hope they don’t let anyone else go. I don’t understand why they would let go of you – their most experienced TW in the U.S. Go figure. Me I understand. I was behind a rock rolling down hill and trying to catch up. For me, work was looked at like a boxing match – one knock out and your down.
Oh well, as you say “c’est la vie”. I’ll live. I’m kicking back and relaxing for a week. Then I’ll begin the big search again.
